Chien Yeh Kaohsiung Law Office (hereinafter referred to as the "Firm") was originally named Chien Yeh Law Offices Kaohsiung Office. The Firm was founded by Dr. S.S. Tzeng, LL.D, in 1973, initially named "Chien Yeh Associated Law Offices." The Firm thereafter changed its name to Chien Yeh Law Offices in 2004. The name "Chien Yeh" was chosen jointly by Dr. S.S. Tzeng, LL.D, and Mr. C.L. Lin, CPA, who at the time separately founded Chien Yeh Associated Law Offices and Chien Yeh Associated Certified Public Accountants. The term "Associated" was originally incorporated into the names of the firms to reflect that, despite the two firms being created as independent entities, they were located on the same premises but at different office spaces and on different floors to provide their clients the most time- and cost-efficient way of obtaining the fullest consultation services possible.

Chien Yeh Associated Law Offices was founded with its principal place of business in Taipei, Taiwan (Registered Number 04140600) and was managed successively by Dr. S.S. Tzeng, Dr. Shen-I Lee, Dr. Carl K.M. Wu, and Mr. Alex C.Y. Tsai. In 1994, Mr. Alex C.Y. Tsai took over the role of managing partner. Being from the Fongshan District in Kaohsiung City and at that time leading the legal team in the Kaohsiung Rapid Transit Corporation's Route C2 station agreement negotiations in Kaohsiung, Mr. Tsai took the initiative to establish the first branch of Chien Yeh Associated Law Offices, the Kaohsiung Office, in August of 1999 (with office address at 18F-5, No. 211, Chung Cheng 4th Rd., Qianjin Dist., Kaohsiung City 801, Taiwan (R.O.C.)) (hereinafter referred to as "Kaohsiung Office"). Kaohsiung Office registered its tax ID number on the first of March, 2004 (Registered Number 99402673). Kaohsiung Office values the importance of professional specialization and teamwork and earns the confidence and trust of our clients through patient, modest, and amiable client interactions.

Mr. Alex C.Y. Tsai subsequently renamed "Chien Yeh Associated Law Offices" to "Chien Yeh Law Offices". In 2005, the Firm trademarked its name in both Chinese and English. After Mr. Alex C. Y. Tsai passed away in February 26, 2011, the Firm's Taipei and Kaohsiung Offices operate as separate and self-governing entities, with Dr. Shen-I Lee as the Firm's Honorary Managing Partner, who encourages our colleagues to continue cooperation and alliance.

In June 2025, pursuant to Article 11 of the Rules on the Registration of Law Firms and Branch Offices stipulated by the Taiwan Bar Association, Kaohsiung Office was renamed “Chien Yeh Kaohsiung Law Office” in English, and “建業高所法律事務所” in Chinese

Mr. Alex C.Y. Tsai managed the Firm with total devotion. Unfortunately, Mr. Tsai passed away on February 26, 2011. Mr. Tsai taught us that "in addition to being well connected, a good lawyer especially must possess fairness, justness, honesty, professionalism, capability and quality of work." Mr. Tsai encouraged our colleagues to "persist in professionalism, manage business with small capital, service the good, live in peace, and enjoy work." In memory of Mr. Alex C.Y. Tsai, Kaohsiung Office changed its E-mail address from "chienyeh" to "chienyehtsai" on July 1st, 2011 and designed a new logo with the words "C.Y. Tsai" embedded within the logo. In addition, the website for Kaohsiung Office is now http://www.chienyehtsai.com.tw/
After adopting the new name “Chien Yeh Kaohsiung Law Office” (建業高所法律事務所) in June 2025, the firm retains its original email address, logo, and website address without change.

Chien Yeh Kaohsiung Law Office was founded in August of 1999. Due to its long-term relationship with accountants, Chien Yeh Kaohsiung Law Office has been well known for its distinct capacity to provide clients with legal advisory services in a wide range of practice areas, and aims to offer an integrated, one-stop solution to our clients' legal, commercial, and accounting inquiries. Chien Yeh Kaohsiung Law Office has experiences in various practice areas, including but not limited to legal consultation; civil, criminal and administrative litigation; Initial Public Offering (IPO) for both domestic and overseas companies; and due diligence consultation for capital transactions.
In addition, since the establishment of Chien Yeh Kaohsiung Law Office, we have served as the legal counselors of Kaohsiung Rapid Transit Corporation's Route C2 station project under the leadership of Attorney C.Y. Tsai. As of today, we continue to advise on KRTC's Route C3 station project. In that capacity, we have extensive experiences with construction cases and commercial arbitration. The Act for Promotion of Private Participation in Infrastructure Projects is the source of law for construction of KRTC's Route; it provides the method for private enterprises to be involved in building, operating and transferring public projects. The promulgation of the Act for Promotion of Private Participation in Infrastructure Projects saw an increase in infrastructure projects operated under the Act. Chien Yeh Kaohsiung Law Office has participated in countless such projects and is now one of the most experienced public construction legal counselors in South Taiwan.

蔡欽源先生，於民國83年起接任建業法律事務所所長。乃高雄市鳳山區(舊高雄縣鳳山市)五甲蔡氏望族之後，父母稟耕讀傳家之祖訓，重視子女教育，不遺餘力。蔡所長幼承家訓，加以少年早慧，博學強記，個性活潑，父母乃在其五歲之齡讓其提早入學，果不負所望，一路順利，自五甲國小、高雄市立五中、鳳山高中；而高中畢業後，更一舉考入國內法界牛耳--臺灣大學法律系，鄉人稱羨，民國64年畢業後，即通過律師高考，為高雄五甲第一人，賀客不絕，增光門楣，父母寬慰。繼於民國72年取得臺灣大學法學碩士學位。斯時蔡所長未及而立之年，睥睨當時，實為青年才俊。然蔡所長個性淳厚樸實，謙沖自抑，不喜浮誇，逢人稱讚，總笑言自己考試常吊車尾。

蔡所長執業律師三十餘年，其原則誠如其遺言所謂：「服務好人」。秉仁義之心，廣結善緣，以定紛止爭為己任，訟爭往往因而弭平。更扶危濟困，助人無數。感恩戴德者，所在多有，自是斐聲業界，人所共仰。

蔡所長接掌建業後，有見於時代改變，戮力朝多方位律師事務所性質轉型。轉型過程，夙夜憂勤，營運蒸蒸日上，屢見其功，今已躋身全國五大事務所之列，業務範圍遍及國內外，舉凡：國際投資、合資、企業併購、技術合作、智慧財產權、聯合承攬、國際貿易、公司重整、清算、破產、政府採購與工程招標、融資、促進民間參與公共建設案、工程爭議、公共工程仲裁、行政程序、涉外事件及一般民刑事訴訟等，專業再分工，造就同仁各有專精，客戶倚重。然蔡所長不忘提醒建業同仁：好律師除「人脈關係善緣」外，尤需具備「公平正義誠信」及「專業能力品質」，勉勵建業律師同仁「努力再努力」。

而公務之餘，蔡所長亦熱心公益，除參與宗教慈善工作外，更身兼財團法人公益事業董事長，並曾擔任中華公司治理協會及台灣企業重建協會之理事、多家上市櫃公司董監事，為健全台灣企業體質及公司治理實務貢獻厥偉，對企業主及投資大眾皆功不可沒；蔡所長曾任教於中興大學法律系，傳承專業經驗予後輩學子，司法實務界桃李成蹊，當非過譽。

蔡所長學養兼優，生平尤好提攜後進，從不藏私，持身正直，同仁上下親炙其身教言教，無不如沐春風，獲益匪淺。且蔡所長平素關心同仁日常生活，呵護關照備至，對同仁而言，名為尊長，實同慈父。此次蔡所長積勞病重，同仁不捨，然其依然「努力到底」。嘗言：「把建業40年的好基業分給努力且需要的法律人，長長久久，大家安居樂業，100個家庭，這不是很好嗎？」，令人感懷至深。

在建業同仁謹守崗位，猶盼蔡所長的堅強意志，能勝病苦之際，驟聞此耗，悲痛萬分，無不慨嘆高山仰止、哲人其萎。惟哀傷之餘，建業亦將謹遵蔡所長遺緒，團結努力，讓建業更好，永續經營，以使其精神長存，典型長存。
